“Million Dollar Quartet, under the direction of Michael Berresse, speeds along like a well-oiled machine. The performers exude a natural chemistry and there’s always something interesting to watch or hear…. and we are never let down by the performances. From “Blue Suede Shoes” to “Whole Lotta Shakin’,” the music hardly ever stops; the beat is infectious and irrepressible. By the end of the evening, the audience is on its feet and all, it would appear, seems right in the world.

Friday’s opening performance not only rocked the evening away with charismatic performances… Weston’s excellent production, directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse… revealed a great deal about the personal depth of these pop music heroes. Calling “Million Dollar Quartet” a jukebox musical doesn’t do it justice; it has as much if not more emotional impact than most current Broadway musicals, with much better music.
